I have always been label-reader but it took me a while to catch on to the fact that I needed to be reading my cosmetics labels too. Finding department-store quality skin care without any petrochemicals, preservatives, additives, color or chemical fragrances was an unsatisfying and unsuccessful endeavor.  Even the stuff I got from the health food store contained shelf stabilizers, food starches or over-proccessed natural products that I didn't want going in to my pores and contained mostly water. I was really quite surprised to learn that what I was looking for just simply did not exist: creamy and luxurious lotions that smell really good and contain absolutely nothing but the purest natural and organic ingredients.

So, I set out to make my own lotion and skin care products. It was a wild  journey of research and experimentation that satisfied my inner geek's need to justify and validate the use of every single ingredient.  It was a journey of failure and success and there have been many times over the years that I have seriously quailed at the enormous tasks of building a website, designing labels, commissioning artwork and executing a social media strategy. Jeez. I just wanted to make lotion. But here we are.  It was all worth it because it was also a journey that lead me here; to you.

My passion is to provide creams, lotions and other skin care products containing only organic or pure ingredients that you would not hesitate to slather on with wild, crazy abandon. I use only therapeutic-grade essential oils and I use a heavy hand in their application.  My creams are painstakingly crafted in small batches to ensure freshness and great care is taken to create the smoothest, silkiest creams that smell amazing.  Really, there is nothing like this out there.  I've looked.

I have worked so hard and so long to be able to finally say: Welcome to Unity Road Organics. This is my journey and you are welcome to come along.

I hope you enjoy exploring my site. I have tried to provide as much detail as I can about the ingredients I select for each product so you can have a sense of why you should care what it is and what it can do to give you healthy, glowing and nourished skin.
